Annealing on the Dezincification of Brass

In hopes of removing the corrosion by zinc in brass pipes, we tested the effects of annealing on hardness and dezincification. This project involved intense experimental design, testing, and corrosion testing, as well as research into an unfamiliar metals process. We found that the annealing positively impacted the corrosion resistance of the brass, but did not pass the acceptable hardness values.
